Using REM

Accessing Content:

The Recommendation Engine of Mechanotransduction (REM) has several sections dealing with specific topics in mechanotransduction that include subsection which provide further specificity. These sections are available from the menu once you access the REM section. When you enter each section, the top articles in that section are shown by default. To see newly posted articles that haven't been promoted ("published") to the front page yet, select "upcoming". Articles that do not get promoted in a certain amount of time eventually get moved to the "archived" section. Additionally, you have the option of viewing the newest promoted articles or top articles in 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 365 days in each section.

You can click on any article's name to go to its main page. Here you can read the article's abstract or click on the title to navigate to the full article.

Comments:

All articles are open to comments. Simply click on the article name and it will take you to that article's main page where you can view and leave comments. Use the comments section to discuss ideas pertaining to the specific paper.

Voting:

REM's ranking system is dependent on user voting. If you found a posted article to be useful, click on the up arrow. Likewise, you can give an article a negative vote for any reason. Additionally, registered users have the capability to vote on comments in the same way as they vote for articles. This will help other users quickly identify which articles and comments you found most useful.
